Penalty points are given for the cards remaining in your hand at the end of a round
That means: after you’ve placed your phase combination on the table
you must attach your remaining cards to existing cards as quickly as possible

Several rounds are played
In each round, every player tries to complete the current phase
Once a player completes the phase, they must discard their remaining cards
A round ends when a player has discarded all their cards
All cards left in other players’ hands are penalty points
Any player who completed a phase moves on to the next phase in the following round
